Do you love to escape to the outdoors? It’s a direct path to refreshing my soul. I grew up in rural places and that meant there were stories to see everywhere.
In my new home state there are new stories to learn as I drive. Stories of native hearts who trodded hundreds of brutal miles to come to this Cherokee Nation.
Stories of the family I married into over twenty years ago.
New stories as I drive the countryside and see the beauty of the Ozarks.
Driving and exploring the roads near our cottage takes me to a place I love to be. My senses are filled with beauty, vivid colors and gentle scenes.
It’s a gift to simply drive for a few minutes each week. A world all my own to drink in, and if I’m lucky hear a story or two.

The blog has such a lovely view to it, calm and wonderful. I’m glad that you’re able to take these leisurely drives, I used to love doing that so much! Living in busy California driving feels anything but leisurely. But when I do find an old country road, I’m so happy to explore it!

Dee!
I hope you are doing well! I was delighted to see your name pop up! We’re forty-five minutes from traffic and almost every drive is scenic…what a blessing! ~Sweetie!
